The West Akim Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of Hon. Paulina Akabila, has actively joined the government’s nationwide reforestation campaign, which aims to plant 30 million tree seedlings across Ghana.
As part of this national effort, the Assembly commemorated the Tree-for-Life initiative on June 5, 2025, with a firm pledge to plant 150,000 tree seedlings within the municipality. In her address, the Honourable Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Paulina Akabila, emphasized the vital role of environmental conservation and reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to sustaining green development.
