EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER HANDS OVER CLASSROOM BLOCK TO ST THOMAS SCHOOL
The Hon. Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour has handed over a one-storey classroom block to St Thomas Senior High and Technical School in Asamankese.
At a short ceremony the minister handed over the key to the Municipal Director of Education and charged the school authorities to imbibe maintenance culture to ensuring that the edifice was always in good condition.
He noted, that the source of funding for the construction of the school block was GETFUND
The One-storey block comprised 12 classrooms each embossed with a marker board and ceiling fans.
It also has a detached W.C. toilet facility.
The minister used the occasion to admonish the school authorities to be adherents to the preventive measures stipulated to fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic adding that there was no time slated for resumption of school activities until further notice.
The Headmaster of the school expressed gratitude to the government for the gesture adding that it was timely as the school lacked infrastructure.
In attendance was the Hon Municipal Chief Executive Seth Oduro Boadu with his entourage.
