The Finance Department leads in the management and use of financial resources to achieve value for money.
The Finance Department advices management on Public Financial Management issues and any other financial regulations approved by the Government. It directs and controls financial management in line with public sector accounting principles thereby safeguarding of government’s resources at the disposal of the assembly.
The Finance Department is responsible for the sound financial management of the Municipal Assembly’s Resources. The Finance Department is made up of three (3) units. They are:
- The Revenue Unit
- The expenditure Unit
- The Payroll Desk
