West Akim Municipal Assembly in an effort to promote teamwork, boost communication and enhance service delivery, hosted a staff workshop that brought together departmental/unit heads and general staff for a day of learning, engagement, and reflection.
Held under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paulina Akabila, the workshop was designed to sharpen essential skills and renew the collective commitment of staff toward the Assemblyโs development goals.
The day began with staff arriving in high spirits. The first part of the workshop focused on Heads of Departments/Units and their direct reports. After an opening prayer, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Moses Kobla Joshua outlined the purpose of the gathering, stressing the importance of clarity, collaboration, and efficiency in leadership roles.
Hon. Paulina Akabila, in her brief remarks, encouraged department heads to remain committed to excellence and lead by example. A skilled facilitator then took participants through an engaging session on effective communication, report writing, and minute-taking tools that are essential for administrative growth and transparency.
After a short break, the second part of the day brought together all staff. The facilitator returned to lead an insightful presentation on conflict resolution, teamwork, and emotional intelligence topics that resonated deeply with many attendees.
In her closing remarks, Hon. Akabila expressed her appreciation to all participants, noting that the real impact of the workshop would be seen in how staff apply what theyโve learned. She called on everyone to maintain a positive attitude, support one another, and work collectively towards the progress of West Akim.
