The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paulina Akabila, today, 3rd June 2026, presented educational materials to the Municipal Education Directorate for distribution to selected schools within the municipality.
The items, which were supplied under the Ministry of Educationβs Basic Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (BSTEM) Project, included Base Ten Arrows, plastic storage boxes, tape measures, linking cubes, geoboards, scissors, and other teaching and learning materials. The BSTEM Project is aimed at equipping basic schools with the resources needed to strengthen the teaching and learning of STEM subjects.
Speaking during the presentation, the Municipal Chief Executive reaffirmed the governmentβs commitment to improving STEM education across the country. She noted that investing in science and technology education remains a key priority of the government and pledged her continued support for initiatives that enhance learning outcomes for students.
Receiving the items, the Municipal Education Director, Madam Loretta Akua Ayisi, expressed her gratitude to the government and the Municipal Assembly for their sustained support of the education sector. She assured stakeholders that the materials would be distributed to the beneficiary schools, namely Ekoso Presbyterian School, Asamankese Anum Primary School, and Asamankese Wesley School, to promote STEM education and improve practical learning experiences for pupils.
The distribution of these materials is expected to enhance practical teaching and learning while inspiring greater interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics among pupils across the municipality.
