The βMy First Day at Schoolβ observation was marked with visits to selected Basic Schools across the West Akim Municipality to welcome and encourage first-time pupils as they began their educational journey.
The team which was led by the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Paulina Akabila and supported by the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Loretta Akuah Ayisi, visited Asamankese M.A. KG, Islamic KG, Kakoase Presby KG, and Dwenantwi AME Zion KG, where pupils, teachers and school authorities were engaged on the importance of creating a warm and welcoming environment for new learners.
All first-time pupils received exercise books, pencils, other stationery items and snacks to support their smooth transition into school and make their first day a memorable experience.
