The Municipal Chief Executive of West Akim Municipal Assembly, Hon. Seth Oduro Boadu, with the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Eunice Amfo-Akonnor and some officials of the Municipal Assembly and Education Directorate visited some basic schools to mark “My First Day at school”.

The visit was to interact and welcome fresh pupils entering basic school, to share his experiences, encourage and present some stationary as part of efforts to help sustain their interest in school.

Some of the schools visited were Asamankese Presbyterian KG, Asuofori M/A basic school, Akanteng presbyterian school and Akanteng Methodist primary.

As part of the WAMA’s vision to promote education, the MCE distributed pencils, erasers, drawing books, a pack of crayons, exercise books, and snacks to each child who was in school for the first time to aid in the learning process and to boost their excitement towards school.  

He expressed excitement towards the pupils’ preparedness to school and assured them of the Assembly’s assistance and encouraged the pupils to be punctual to school.
