INSPECTION OF GHANA SECONDARY CITIES PROJECT
Hon. Seth Oduro Boadu, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of West Akim, conducted a thorough inspection of ongoing road and pavement walkway projects within the municipality. The inspection aimed to assess the progress of these vital infrastructure developments and ensure their timely completion.
The MCE visited several key projects, including:
- Road Rehabilitation: He inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of Jamestown Road, a major arterial road connecting key areas within the municipality. The project involved resurfacing the road and improving drainage systems.
- Pavement Walkway Construction: The MCE toured the ongoing construction of the pedestrains walkway along the Asamankese-Nsawam main road, ensuring they were accessible to pedestrians and met the required standards.
During the inspection, the MCE interacted with contractors, engineers, and community representatives to gather feedback and address any concerns. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of most projects but also emphasized the need for contractors to adhere to deadlines and maintain high quality standards.
